Ok, we have GConf & gnome-config for parse config files. And now is
time to decide to use. I want to write small Gtk+ 2 (or GNOME 2 it

make my choise: "What to use: GConf or gnome-config?". Both of this
libraries are part of GNOME project, and will be interesting to know
opinion of GNOME developers.

gnome_config_* is generally considered deprecated for storing
preferences, in favor of gconf. gconf offers various features that are
well-documented on its website or in the 2002 www.linuxsymposium.org
proceedings. But gconf is somewhat more complex to use, there's no
question. And gconf is not good for storing data (as opposed to
prefs).
