I have a theme made for gtk-2.0, but can't seem to get it to work.
I have a .gtkrc-2.0 file with the following contents, the commented out
ones do not seem to affect any change.
#pixmap_path "/usr/share/themes/AquaLightBlue/gtk-2.0"
#module_path "/usr/share/themes/AquaLightBlue/gtk-2.0"
include "/usr/share/themes/AquaLightBlue/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"
Now when I start a gtk-2.0 app, I get the following error
Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "pixmap",
Why do I get that error?
What can I do to make it go away and my theme work?
Thanks
Hi,
I believe you'll want to install a modern version of gtk-engines (I'm
using 1.9.0). You can pick it up from one of the gnome mirrors in the
2.0.0 directories. This fixed the same problem for me, anyway.
I am still using gnome 1.4 I think. I know I am not using 2.0, so
assume I can only have one gtk-engines installed. I further assume that
the version I have installed needs to work with my current env.
I currently am using gtk-engines-0.11-10 part of the RedHat 7.3 distro.
So would the newer gtk-engines be backwards compatible?
Meaning if I install a newer version, will it break other dependencies,
or work fine?
