obtaining a selected row from a GtkClist

Hi.  I just need to know if there is a way to get the selected row and
the focused row of a clist.  I know there is a signal that is emited
when a selection is made, but is there anyway to get the selection info
without setting up a callback (ie. accessing a lower level struct).
