gdk-imlib to gdk_pixbuf porting problem

Hi,

I'm currently porting image handling code in a gtk application (the bluefish
HTML editor) from imlib to pixbuf. Eeverything is fine, except for one
thing:

Imlib is capable of saving images, and gdk_pixbuf (AFAIK) doesn't.

Saving images in the application is used to create thumbnails for the web,
so saving jpg and png images is needed. What is the smartest way to solve
the problem? Is there a way to save a gdk_pixbuf using libpng or libjpeg?
