controlling scroll positions

hello,

is there a way using gtk_scrolled_window to always keep it at the extreme down
of a page?

In case that's too fuzzy (eheh), what I do is I have kind of a log book where
log entry can be added while the program run, I want the latest event to be
seen on screen.  Each log entry have to be 'appended' since I want them from
top to bottom to represent the chronological order.

Any way to do that?
