Hi,

Why if there is not plot added to a canvas, it's impossible to
move a child or a text in the canvas ?

Is it a normal behavor ?

For example, you can comment in testgtkplot.c the two lines 
gtk_plot_canvas_add_plot(GTK_PLOT_CANVAS(canvas), GTK_PLOT(active_plot)
...
