I believe the button is "transparent" (no background) with RELIEF_NONE.

hrm.. afaic, I think the GTK_RELIEF_NONE button should only affect the 3D
representation but still draw a background. Or at least another class should be
made like GTK_RELIEF_VERY_LOW ;)
