Full modal dialog

Hi!

Is there a way to create a full modal dialog? I'm doing a system critical action
and need an answer from the user before he is able to do anything. So before
clicking on a button, he should not be able to do anything else, not even
in another application.

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.
