Gtk DND and mozilla "xpconnect wrapped nsIRDFNode"

Dragging and dropping a shortcut-bar item to a GtkApp (including gmc)
produces the data "xpconnect wrapped nsIRDFNode". I was about to go off
and try to conquer that problem for my Gtk app, but if someone else has
already seen and addressed this problem, I would like to avoid
duplicating work. A search on Google for that string produced exactly
three hits, none seemed relevant (all XUL stuff).
