Progress Problem

Okay, I have a progress bar in a dialog and it seems to update funny.

The first time I use the bar it only goes part way, like 30%.
The second time I use the bar it doesn't go at all.
The third time I use the bar it works right from then on.
I am destroying the bar after each time I use it.
This is really weird.
