GtkToolbar resizes window

Hi everybody,

Is there any way to avoid that changing the minimum size of a toolbar in
a window
changes the size of the window?
My problem is that the buttons, menus, etc, in my Toolbar can change
contents, but if they
do while the window has a width < (minimum width required by the
Toolbar), then the window
is resized to make the entire Toolbar fit, but that screws up a number
of things.

Please let me know if there's any way to fix/workaround this, or i
didn't make myself clear.
