Hi Michael,
Just going back to this catalogue problem. I've noticed that it is only the photos that I import that won't sort. I import from the camera directly via usb and name it using the Event section on the import dialogue. However none of these are sorted alphabetically. If I create a Catalogue separately and then import the files and move them there it is sorted alphabetically.
Is this normal behaviour or a bug? It adds a bit extra to my workflow so I think it is a bug still.
I've added a bug report with a screen shot with the patient details blurred.
Many thanks
They are sorted by when I added them and not alphabetically.
It's all Patient Identifiable data so I wouldn't be able to put a screenshot in without pixelating the names...
I'll have a go though.

Can you open a bug report
(https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=gthumb) with a
screenshot showing the problem?
When I create catalogs, they seem to be sorted alphabetically in the
sidebar. Is it different for you?
