Another option is to take into account the current orientation tag
before applying the transformation, and correcting it as needed.
This is what is supposed to happen, and it is what 2.10.x did.
If this isn't happening, it's a bug (an important one).
Yes, I can definitely reproduce it.
Please file a bug report with sample photos and a method to reproduce
the bug.
That's the point. Lossless rotation is different. It doesn't take into
account the initial orientation tag, if set, so it doesn't work as it
should.
It is supposed to take the initial tag into account.
It is entirely possible that something broke in 2.11.x. If so, we do
need to track it down. My current cameras don't set orientation tags,
and I haven't looked at the new code closely, so I might not see the
problem...
