Thanks for pointing that out it helped me debug this more easily,
and sorry for the delay looking into it I've been busy juggling a
lot of things.
I found the glitch in scrolled window causing this mess and
have a patch attached to:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=633278
Hopefully this patch will close all the recent scrolled
window disasters.
