Good afternoon. The phenomenon is observed in other spreadsheet programs, when you open a XLSX-file, originally saved from Gnumeric. An example is attached and the superfluous symbols appear for example in cells A3 and A4. The hyperlink in B10 is also affected. You can see this in the screen shot on http://pix.toile-libre.org/?img=1449409092.png. I am not claiming that an error in Gnumeric is responsible, but as the same garbage characters are observed in the Windows®- and Linux-versions of SoftMaker PlanMaker and also MS-Excel 2013, a simple explanation would be welcome. The SoftMaker team has not yet posted anything like that, maybe you know more. TIA Michael -- S'il faut être quelque chose, je suis Rémie Fraisse.
