gnumeric's solver and parallel computing

Dear all,
I am using gnumeric's solver quite intensively: it takes several hours to solve my problem on a fairly recent machine.
Now I would like to increase the size of the problem to be solved and was wondering if gnumeric can exploit mutli-cores computers.
