Sure, please file an enhancement request at bugzilla.gnome.org.
I should also fix simple exponential smoothing in graphs which are just
wrong.

While simple exponential smoothing does exist (in particular in graphs), it
does not work for curves with a trend.
Many references exist on the web for exponential smoothing.
