double exponential smoothing

Dear Gnumeric fans,

This is a request for enhancement.

Would it be possible to implement double exponential smoothing in Gnumeric?

(sorry, I am not skilled enough to do it myself)

While simple exponential smoothing does exist (in particular in graphs), it does not work for curves with a trend.

Many references exist on the web for exponential smoothing.
