html export - bold, italic not set

Hi,
I've tried exporting a spreadsheet to html (both HTML 4.0 and XHTML)
and it works fine except that bold and italic settings are not exported. This
happens in both gnumeric-1.8.3 and 1.8.4. How can I get it to export
the bold and italic settings?
