Possible bug in Gnumeric 1.8

Hi.

When I copy a column cells from Gnumeric 1.8 to Gedit, the cells are
pasted without any spaces or breaks.
I have to transpose the cells into a row, which is pasted with tabs
between them.

Is this intentional? If it is, can someone explain the logic to me (I
expected cells to be pasted with \n after each cell, to preserve the
same structure)?
