What is "an MS Excel xml file"?
Do you mean:
(a) a file with extension ".xml" produced by Excel 2003 "save as XML",
(b) a file produced by the default save in Excel 2007 -- extension is
".xlsx", and it's a ZIP file most of whose contents are XML files
(different structure to (a))
(c) something else?
