When in print preview, "No visible output generated"...

I am running Gnumeric 1.4.1 on OS X 10.4.2. The software seems to
work fine, but when I try to get a print preview, I see nothing on
the page, and it says that no visible output generated.
I am very new to this program, what do I do now?
