It will most probably not work. You must replace gtk+-2.2.4 by
gtk+-2.4.1 (the same glib, and you'll need pango-1.4 to compile gtk+).

Every other thing should be there.

The current output of configure indicates that it is basically
glib 2.4 and gtk+ 2.4.

Does it work at all if I just install all the missing libs into
