feature request (1.2)

I've been working a lot using (grumble) recently, which is driving me up the
wall generally, but it does have one appreciated feature which Gnumeric 
lacks:

If a cell has percentage formating, when the user starts typing, there
is magically a "%" sign to the right of the cursor.  Ah, that's very nice.

Hence, 5.4 gets me 5.4%, not 540%!

(Yes, I need to wedge Linux onto the company laptop...)
