Fwd message about Pango & Gnumeric

I am forwarding a message I saw in Garnome list, I believe that this
list is far more appropriate for it. As far as I understand, the texts
are rendered using Pango, aren't they.

Hi,

Does anyone know if the text in cells in Gnumeric is rendered using
Pango?  I ask because I'm almost *certain* I saw this in the past, but
the newest version of Garnome's Gnumeric shows that the font is not AA.

Any thoughts on this?  Or is my setup just wrong.  [PS.  All the menus
etc are AA]
