yay gnumeric!

I was helping a student on a research project today, and downloaded a
large labor statistics datafile in wk1 format.  It opened just fine in
gnumeric (1.1.16).  So I suggested to the student that he download it
and open it in Excel (he's running Windows).  No go: "invalid file
format".  I saved it as xls on my machine and gave him a copy.
Gnumeric, one; Excel, zero.
