I am probably missing something obvious, but trying to compile gnumeric
(gnome_1_4 branch) from cvs I get the following:
Running automake --gnu ...
Makefile.am:1: AM_GNU_GETTEXT in `configure.in' but `intl' not in SUBDIRS
**Error**: automake failed.
