Well, you possibly have some old parts of gnumeric lying around and 
interfereing with your install. I would
rpm -e gnumeric-0.23-2

you may have to re-install gnumeric and guppi afterwards.


> [learfox localhost ~]$ gnumeric --version
> Gnome gnumeric 1.0.5


All the otehr stuff looks like it is supposed to (I had been wondering 
whether you had some instllation in /usr/local/... (gnome default) and 
some in /usr/ (RedHat like).
