Hello,
I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a
large spreadsheet that I use regularly with Gnumeric and I would like to
be able to open it automatically to the proper size. So my questions
are:
1) Is it possible to make Gnumeric remember the size of a spreadsheet
that it has opened before?
In the 1.1.x branch gnumeric opens a spreadsheet to the window size it
was when last saved (with the proviso that it uses minimum and maximum
widths and heights, ie. a very small window is probably wider when it is
reopened.) I would suspect that this is also true for the 1.0.x branch.
2) Ordinarily, I would look for the answer to the first question in an
application's preferences file, but I can't find one in Gnumeric's
menus. Does this exist?
THe 1.1.x branch has a preference dialog, the 1.0.x branch does not. In
the former you can specify the default window size (as a fraction of the
screen size) for new spreadsheets or non-gnumeric sheets.
3) How can I get Gnumeric to automatically open with a particular
spreadsheet? Will this syntax work on the command line:
# gnumeric /home/User/Documents/docname.gnumeric
It should.
