It is not fully supported but We shoulds be able to shortly.  There
were 2 main obstacles
1) We needed to support checkboxes in Gnumeric, this is done.
2) As of Office97 the format for storing the checkboxes is not
   documented.  I've done some preliminary research on the topic,
   but not enough to enable it in the general build.

So it will not be enabled until some point during 1.1.x
