Sorry I should have explained it better.In Excel if you put one cell
into the clipboard/buffer, you can highlight multiple cells that are not
one continuous region/block and paste into them.

cell a1
cell b1
cell c1

Highlight a1 and c1 and paste clipboard/buffer.
