The last time we discussed this, in January 2000, I don't think we
expected to be here in Autumn 2001 talking about a still far from
complete Gnumeric 0.x version. Certainly if I had known modality
would still be an unsolved issue 18 months later I would have done
something about it back then...

I am if anything even more overloaded with work than I was then, I
think most people appreciate the small contributions I was able
to make, and I expect to be able to do more Excel compatability
stuff again - eventually.
