With my urrent copy from cvs I get lots of:

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkgc.c: line 277 (gdk_gc_ref): assertion `gc !=
NULL' failed.
               specifically when starting gnumeric with a new file

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkdraw.c: line 66 (gdk_draw_line): assertion `gc
!= NULL' failed.
               specifically when closing a meenu that reached beyond the
toolbars and into the column headers A, B, C, ...

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkgc.c: line 288 (gdk_gc_unref): assertion `gc !=
NULL' failed.
               specifically when open an existing file

On a completely separate issue:

what kind of problem indicates:

** WARNING **: value_release problem

especially if the only changes I made to the code are within the
calculation part of one of the dataanalysis tools (including putting the
results into cells of the ANOVA table)
