mime types

Some new things in the plugin/file format mechanism uses
gnome-libs' gnome-mime database.

1. That interface is *gone* in Gnome 2.0.

2. It is, shall we say, not a well written piece of code.

3. I'm told that gnome-vfs' mime database is the right place to
   get that information.
