That is reflected in the news, and the configure error message indicates
you that you need gnome 2 libraries. It is not indicated either that you
need GNU/Linux or FreeBSD to make GnomeMeeting run because it is pretty
evident... The FAQ is already 21 pages long, and I must admit that I do
not have all the required time to update it, and code on GnomeMeeting,
but I don't think the FAQ is of bad quality.

I think you told us that you were using Redhat 7.3, Redhat 7.3 doesn't
provide Gnome2. There are 2 solutions:

- install the Ximian Gnome2 snapshots. There is no guarantee of
stability as they are CVS snapshots. In that case you will need
GnomeMeeting from CVS.

- upgrade your installation to a RedHat 8.0.
