How to have GnomeMeeting sounds without using Gnome (e.g. under KDE)?
You need to run esd with the artsdsp wrapper + run 'sound-properties
--init-session-settings' before loading GnomeMeeting.
Make sure that artsd is not blocking the soundcard. Modern soundcards
should not give any problem with ALSA, as they permit to be used by
several programs at the same time without the need to use a sound
daemon.
