I think the problem is that you have not read the Readme provided in the 
download section on gnomemeeting.org. There it states:

- --- Important ---
After installing you have to run
SuSEconfig --module gtk2
SuSEconfig --module gconf2
SuSEconfig --module pango
- -------->8---------

This should solve your problems ...
