Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] No Subject

Hey Damien, Merry Xmas..

Just wanted to bounce three things off ya, Suse RPMs? and I saw a post about Winov Vidium again,, any word on that one? And I could have sworn you had mentioned or some one on the main team using Haupauge cards? I have an old USR Bigpicture card, the old 2.2 drivers worked fine with it, but now with the 2.4 drivers I have to wait for ever for it to start, and its very touchy.. any ideas?

Hi!

Try the following : rm ~/.gnome/gnomemeeting
then restart GnomeMeeting, and go in the Devices Settings.
Tell me if your /dev/dsp1 is present. If you have to add it manually,
then it is not detected and it will not work.

It is working here.

hallo,

thanks for your reply, i have removed the file and set the values manuall=

y.

but its the same. in all other sound progs i can record the usb microphon=

via

/dev/dsp1.

Well I was asking you to not add them manually ;)
I need to know : was /dev/dsp1 present after you restarted GM with the
deleted config file?

It should be automatically detected.
I tested here with a friend of the GnomeMeeting crew and he could
succesfully hear me with my Philips Vesta Pro.
Check the volume perhaps. Check also that your "register" device is the
micro during calls.

all device files are present.

[alex cek alex]$ ll /dev/dsp*
lr-xr-xr-x    1 root     root            9 Dez 20 21:51 /dev/dsp -> sound=

/dsp

lr-xr-xr-x    1 root     root           10 Dez 20 21:51 /dev/dsp1 ->
sound/dsp1
[alex cek alex]$

if you have any idea please let me know, i dont get any error messages, s=

o i

dont know what could be wrong.

thanks,
alex
