Well, yesterday I've set up my Palm to work with my new cell phone: the Palm
asked me what country I'm, I said Germany and in the next box I could select
my cell provider out of the four available ... done. Works.

I envision something like that in Gnomemeeting for setting up with the most
popular SIP providers: Select country and provider e.g. sipgate or nicotel,
enter account and password -> done.

Gnomemeeting should draw the provider list from a website e.g.
gnomemeeting.net. As we don't know all the config's in all countries (which
is subject to constant change as well) there should me a colaborative way to
update the list from Gnomemeeting (such as Free CDDB)

I also look for a way to send over someone (e.g. a client or a project member)
the application and give him/her a file with my configuration
(Asterisk/Gnugk)

Conrad

PS: Would it be possible / a good idea to include a port scanner (nmap) to
check if the firewall blocks necessary TCP/UDP ports?
