That's why the plugin has to be changed to support opening devices both
with friendly and non-friendly names (and actually it should already be
able to do that following the code I have read, that's just openh323
that prevents to do it).

Listing both in the list of available devices is the wrong approach to
fix the problem as it breaks GUIs like GnomeMeeting.

I never said there was no problem, I said the current way of fixing it
is wrong.
