I know what I'm doing. That doesn't mean I want to spend hours trying to figure out a problem unrelated to the changes I'm doing in GM. Besides, I figured Damien might want to know about the ALSA problem.

I didn't know that. Now I do, thank you.

There may be a problem in the alsa plugin in case of several cards with
the same name, I guess Damien will look into it. But please, please, if
you're "just" a user, stick to the stable releases unless there's a good
reason why you can't...

I'm re-implementing cleanly the spawn-program-upon-ringing thingy I had already sent a patch for a while ago.
