Not only for the gatekeeper registration. It is also shared with ILS and
displayed to the remote endpoint.

Indeed, and that is what the "alias" is for.

No, that's not right. Your problem is that your gatekeeper is only able
to authenticate you using the firstly registered alias, not on any other
alias. That's a bug, really.

No sorry, it should be fixed on the gatekeeper-side. Authenticating only
on the firstly registered alias is a bug of the gatekeeper. Your
solution is only a workaround, not a fix.

Again, you are misunderstanding. "Robert Vojta" and "vojta" are both
gatekeeper aliases. The fact to register Robert Vojta as first alias and
vojta as second alias should not prevent the gatekeeper to accept the
authentication !
