[GnomeMeeting-devel-list] New druid committed to CVS

Hello to all,

The new druid code (still incomplete) has been committed to CVS for
testing.

Here is what's new:
* Completely rewrote the configuration assistant to make it simpler and
more HIG compliant
* Users are now only registered to ILS if they explicitely request it
* The settings are now only applied when the user clicks on "Finish" and
not anymore on-the-fly
* Better default settings for DSL and cable users

A consequence of the 3rd point is that if you are going in the
preferences window and change your firstname while you are in the
personal data druid page, the changes won't be reflected in the druid.

Another consequence of the 3rd point is that if you are going backward,
some of the settings you chose are reset to the gconf default.

However there is no other way to do things that I know, but those
"little problems" are not very annoying.

Anyway, please test the new druid:
- Are the new DSL default settings ok or not?
- Carefully check what happens if you don't provide a firstname/surname
and if you try to register to ILS, same if you disable ILS registering
- Carefully check the audio and video tests
- Try to do the audio and video tests if you selected a plugin for which
no devices are detected
- Try to break the druid

PS1: Can someone update the wiki with the 5 tests here above and mail me
privately to tell me it is done
PS2: Plugins are now mandatory
PS3: The druid hangs when doing the test on a fake /dev/video* device,
but that is a problem in the plugin
PS4: I really need people to test this, it is a major feature and a
major change, so it really matters!
PS5: there are bugs, if you don't find them, you are badly testing

Thanks!
