[GnomeMeeting-devel-list] Last snapshot

Hi to all,

The last snapshot presents a new feature when choosing an Audio Manager
for which no devices are found. It also fixes some initialisation
problems.

The things to test are :
1) Making sure that GM always starts correctly (1 test to repeat)
2) Trying managers for which there are no devices found and try to make
calls. I decided to not display any popup in that case, the audio
channels are simply not started. (1 test)

Also, you still need to test the old things:

ABOUT PLUGINS:
1) Change the Audio and Video Manager (ie plugin) and see if the devices
are correct in both the druid and the prefs window. You have to try this
during a call and when there is no call.
2) Change the devices during calls and when there is no call and see if
it works and has the requested effect, also test in the druid.
3) use gconf-editor to put invalid values for the audio and video
managers and see what happens in GM. Also restart GM after you have done
that and see what happens.
4) Try to start GM without any PWLIB plugins available in /usr/lib/pwlib
5) All sort of things that you could think of and that could crash GM.

ALSA:
1) Testing the volume usage

IN GENERAL:
1) Answering incoming calls / calling other users / calling other users
and interrupting the call, also check auto answer and do not disturb /
being call and refusing the call / being called and letting the call
time out with either reject or forwarding on no answer (8 tests)
Silly but true!
2) The VideoGrabber usage :
        * Changing the brightness/whiteness/... when the device is
opening or closing (4 x 2 tests)
        * Changing the device on the fly during calls or not while the
video is displayed in the video window (2 tests)
        * Doing calls with video preview active or not active (2 tests)
        * Receiving calls with video preview active or not active (2
tests)
3) Transferring a call when you are in a call (1 test)
4) Call forwarding, the 3 modes (3 tests)
5) Changing the silence detection during a call or not, especially
interesting to try to change it while the call is starting (2 tests)
6) Changing the minimum fps setting during a call or not, especially
interesting to try to change it while the call is starting (2 tests)
7) Changing the transmitted video quality setting during a call or not,
especially interesting to try to change it while the call is starting (2
tests)
8) Changing the max video bandwidth setting during a call or not,
especially interesting to try to change it while the call is starting (2
tests)
9) Changing the min and max jitter buffer settings during a call or not,
especially interesting to try to change it while the call is starting (4
tests)
10) The stats display (just do calls, you will see)
11) Using the dialpad during calls and when calls are starting (2 tests)
12) Using the text chat during calls and when calls are starting (2
tests)

Thanks,
