Hi Julita,

RAR is a proprietary archive file format, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Fedora can not include software for generating rar files or even unrar software that is used for unpackaging them. You can learn more here:

http://www.rarlab.com has the trial/paid version of rar software - I don't think there exists a free of cost version of that.

http://rpmfusion.org has a repository that includes a free of cost unrar software.

If possible, it's better to use zip or tar archive file formats instead.

I was looking for the free version of RAR that can be installed over the Release version of Red Hat 5.5. 

I was "googling", but there are some trials versions or crackers things. I will appreciate any help.
