This is better and addresses the matter at hand...
I feel we should address one design/usability issue. This page is not
like any other page of the site. While it is not a exactly a splash
page, it stinks because it disorients the user. I believe its intent is
a gateway page, but there is not enough information in it for me to know
if I want to go to the foundation, developers, or what is GNOME. If I
dare to follow a link, I'm taken to an unfamiliar layout. I must
explore the page to first decide if I made a mistake, and I may even
think I've gone to another site when I'm on w.g.o. On a minor point, we
should indicate off site links in the headlines section because *.g.o's
presentation is inconsistent, and we can easily frustrate a user who
needs assistance.
Why not just copy the site style for of the existing w.g.o, and insert
the headlines?
