Gaim kendini bir Gnome uygulamasindan daha cok GTK uygulamasi olarak goruyor. Gnome teknolojilerinden cogunu kullanmiyor. (mesela Gconf, bonobo) Fakat gaim cok yaygin bir program, hem Linux'de hem Windows'ta, ayrica Turkce cevirisi de yok. Gnome CVS'inde olsun ya da olmasin cevirilmesi cok iyi olur. Sanirim en az durum sayfasindaki paketlerden birisini cevirmek kadar faydali olacaktir.
