the weekly GNOME-summary by its very nature provides an abstract of
the breaking news in relation to GNOME. in as much as it does meet its
stated (or perhaps unstated objective). an online HTML magazine is a
novel concept and here are my thoughts on the same.

[1] it can add and extend the GNOME-summary (i like it too much to
wilfully state that GNOME-summary be junked !) by providing a detail
roundup of news that the GNOME summary can use as hyperlinks to this
newsletter.

[2] it can provide a fora for GNOME summary included information to be
discussed - kindly note that i have not thought much along this line
myself and have to come up with something a lot less vague.

[3] there is a chance that information might be redundant - GNOME
Desktop provides a comprehensive coverage of 'issues GNOME', but a
fora based on CMS towards information appraisal might be the flavor of
the day.

[4] an online magazine containing contributory articles on GNOME viz
usability (my pet peeve since Nat did not put up the Linux Bangalore
slides and i am mighty upset at the absolute lack of focussed info),
GNOME architecture, roadmap, GNOME Foundation decisions and strategy
made available for public disclosure, some aspects of GNOME Marketing
(perhaps - if others do not object and Jeff relents !!) - these are
really off the handle ideas (and possibly absolutely trash can-able)

[5] or perhaps we can take this as an initiative to talk about a
magazine dedicated to GNOME by the GNOME members.

[6] would downloads be allowed ?

caveat - i am an absolute new member to this list, and thus might be
unwittingly transgressing a few lines. however, would love to see such
an effort come to the forefront

warm regards
