[weekly report] Week 1: Multiple Monitor Support Gnome-Shell

Hello, 

I apologize for the late submission. For the first week, I sifted through the metacity code base and thought through most intuitive way to handle multiple monitors for gnome-shell.

 I decided for the most intuitive approach to multiple monitors in an environment with multiple virtual workspaces is to have a consistent experience when adding additional monitors. The additional monitors would essentially be a recreation of the root screen, but would default to another workspace. The multi-monitor experience would be consistent with the single monitor experience. Switching the workspaces and launching of programs would be identical, and the only difference is that multiple workspaces can be viewed and manipulated at the same time.
