the official slackware mozilla packages are not built by hand; they are
built with the mozilla.spec file which can be found the the source
cd-rom (i believe they modified redhat's version, but i'm not sure).
the rpm build process first installs the entire mozilla distribution to
/var/tmp/mozilla-root, then builds the individual rpms from it--pat (or
whomever built mozilla, the readme file for slackware's mozilla doesn't
have an author associated with it) just ran makepkg on
/var/tmp/mozilla-root instead of building an rpm. you get the same
effect by copying the files from /var/tmp/mozilla-root into /opt/gnome.
